Verdict: put the kids on Mom's Boeing BCBS Traditional. $1,109/yr for both kids vs $979/yr on Dad's HDHP — but the HDHP carries a $6,000 family deductible, while Boeing's $300/$900 deductible + 10% coinsurance is a far better safety net for kids.
